Fireside Sessions at the Church Inn

Well, sort of, anyway. The last one at the Church Inn was 22 April 2008. We'll have a new venue, hopefully starting sometime soon. The nearest thing at the moment is the Sunday Jazz and Blues at the Prince. Join the mailing list to be kept informed of changes as they happen. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Previously...

Anyone is welcome to come up and have a play. We have previously had a good selection of saxophones and trumpets, a singer every now and again, more often that not a guitar or two, and more occasionally we've had vibes, flute, squeeze box, percussion, trombones, clarinets, and even a banjo (although we made it stay in its case, for its own safety).

The session is intended as a way to give up-and-coming players a chance to play in public, and to learn from and meet the more accomplished musicians in the Midlands. It also serves as a way for more hardened musicians to let off a little steam (and have a beer or two...). Admission is FREE, so you'd be a fool to miss it.

The management reserve the right to pull faces and giggle in a childish manner. You have been warned.
